Glenn Foster Brown was born in Westchester, New York, and has been drawing and painting since he was a child.

Glenn's primary medium is oil paint and powdered pigments on canvas, but he is not tied down to one style.
He works in many mediums and has recently created a series in watercolor and charcoal.

He paints without concern for traditional styles or color restraints. His subject matter ranges from the abstract to expressionistic to a long series of faces.

Glenn received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in painting, illustration and film at SUNY College at Fredonia, NY. where he studied with John Hughson, Ron Warren and Mary
Lee Lunde. Over the next few years, he won awards for his work in judged shows throughout
Westchester county.

In 1988, Glenn moved to Boston, MA, to pursue a musical career. He continued to paint while producing and performing in Boston bands; some of his work has been used as CD covers and inside illustrations.

In 1995, Glenn was featured along with Peter Wolf from the J. Giels Band in the Boston Globe's Calendar “Rhythm and Hues: Rockers Who Mix Music and Art”.

Glenn’s work has been represented at group and private shows in multiple Boston clubs and restaurants. In addition, his pieces have become part of many private and corporate collections nationwide, including Marc Fasanella, owner/director of the ARTISAN GALLERY Hampton Bays, NY, and Michael C. Wick (acclaimed creature fabricator, puppeteer, model maker: ILM)
